In a culture where social media tells us how many “friends” we have, we have become a very misled generation. After a recent study, it’s been found that the average person believes that they have no more than 5 true friends in their lifetime. So this begs the question, “Why are we so caught up in attempting to become something we are not for others approval?”
The truth is that WE CHOOSE who our friends are! This is important because the Apostle Paul tells us in 1 Corinthians that we become who we hang around. The Bible also explains to us what a true friendship looks like in Proverbs when it tells us that a friend, “LOVES AT ALL TIMES, AND IS BORN FOR ADVERSITY.” In other words, a true friend is the person who walks in when everyone else walks out. This type of friendship seems to be extremely hard to find and seems to be searched for in all the wrong places.
This year at Teen Revolution, come find out the answers to so many of the questions that we have surrounding the thought of friendship! Most importantly, come worship the “FRIEND THAT STICKS CLOSER THAN A BROTHER!” – JESUS CHRIST! What a friend we have in Jesus!
